City of Olathe seeking input from citizens on subdivision improvements—

December 10, 2009. 5:00-7:00 p.m., Open Housecity of olathe kansas

The City of Olathe is seeking input from Olathe residents on how the City of Olathe works to ensure that subdivision improvements are completed.  These improvements are:  street trees, sidewalks, landscaping, erosion control and mud clean-up, and recreational amenities such as subdivision pools and cabanas, trails, and play areas.

All interested citizens are invited to attend this open house, where citizens can provide input on the City of Olathe’s role in ensuring these subdivision features are completed.  City staff will review:

(1) Olathe’s current guarantee requirements for these subdivision improvements, and

(2) some potential alternatives to Olathe’s current guarantee requirements.  Staff have prepared these potential alternatives to Olathe’s current guarantee (bonding) requirements in an effort to encourage and assist development projects while still providing citizens with the quality subdivisions that make Olathe a great place to live.

When:  Thursday, December 10, any time between 5:00-7:00 p.m.—come at the time that best suits you.
