I’m buying a home …. why do I need a Realtor?

If you are buying a home that is listed with a Real Estate agent, then chances are that the homeowner is being represented by an agent who is looking out for their best interest.

If you went to court, would you want to be unrepresented?

Typically the seller is agreeing to pay the commission so there is not a cost for the buyer to get an agent to represent the buyer’s  best interest and to prevent you from having to negotiate on your own, possibly giving up valuable information/negotiating leverage.

An agent is there to protect your interest, ensure you are represented and to provide information that you would not otherwise have access to.
